Symposium registration

Registration includes meals and refreshments, public lectures and receptions.

Standard: $100 (incl GST) per person per day – applies to waged/salaried delegates, concession card holders and retired Fellows

Student: $30 (incl GST) per person per day – applies to those in part or full-time academic study (student number required at registration)

Group Bookings

We welcome group bookings for six or more delegates. Please contact us for further details.

Fellows’ events

Annual Academy Fellows’ Dinner: To be advised.

All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST

Registration Closing Date

Registrations close 5pm Monday 11 November 2019.


Transfers and Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing to the Academy at enquiries@humanities.org.au.

Symposium registration cancellation

A full refund less a $25 administration charge will be made for cancellations received up to 31 October 2019.

A 50% refund applies for cancellations received between 1-11 November 2019.

No refunds can be given for cancellations made after 11 November 2019.

Fellows’ Dinner cancellation

A full refund will be made for cancellations received by 11 November 2019. No refund can be given for cancellations received after that date.

Transferring Registration

If you are unable to attend the Symposium you may transfer your registration to another person at no additional cost by contacting enquiries@humanities.org.au.


Program Disclaimer

The Academy makes every effort to avoid changes to the Symposium program and reserves the right to make any changes at any time as circumstances dictate. Every effort will be made to ensure a program of equivalent standard and value should unavoidable changes occur.

The Australian Academy of the Humanities’ 50th Symposium (the Symposium) is bound by and committed to supporting the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988

Use of personal information

The Academy will collect and store information you provide in the registration process for the purposes of enabling us to:

  • register your attendance at the Symposium and other events;
  • assist with administrative and planning purposes;
  • plan and develop other events in the future;
  • facilitate your requirements in relation to the Symposium; and
  • allow the compilation and analysis of statistics relevant to the Academy.

The information that you provide in the online registration process and information provided at any other time during the Symposium, including without limitation any feedback obtained during the Symposium, will be used by the Academy to offer, provide and continue to improve its events and other services.

Disclosure of personal information to third parties

The Academy will not, without your consent, use or disclose your personal information for any purpose unless it would reasonably be expected that such purpose is related to the offer, provision and improvement of the Academy’s events or where such purpose is permitted or required by law.


Insurance

Registration to attend the Symposium, public lectures, Fellows’ Dinner and/or other meetings of the Academy does not include insurance of any kind. The Academy recommends taking out an insurance policy of your own choice with your local insurance or travel agent.
