  • Biography:
  • Professor Malcolm Gillies is a musicologist and linguist, and Emeritus Professor of the Australian National University. He was Vice-Chancellor of London Metropolitan University 2009-2014, and Vice-Chancellor of City University London 2007-2009. During 2002 to 2007 he was Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the Australian National University.

    He was the President of the Australian Academy of the Humanities 1998-2001.

    Professor Gillies recently assisted the Australia Council for the Arts with the national consultation process on the Major Performing Arts Framework.
