Dr Geoffrey D. Dunn is an expert in early Christian life and thought in North Africa (Tertullian, Cyprian, Augustine of Hippo) and the history of the early papacy, especially in the fifth century (Innocent I, Zosimus, Boniface I). He has published widely on the interaction of Jews and Christians in the first centuries CE, on the Latin text transmission of papal letters in medieval manuscripts, and the ways in which Latin writers of the time exploited classical rhetoric for their purposes in religious conflict.
