Trevor Bryce

Biography

Emeritus Professor Trevor Bryce is a Classicist and Near Eastern historian. He has published extensively on the Classical and Near Eastern civilisations: his publications include The Kingdom of the Hittites (new edition) (2006), The Trojans and their Neighbours (2005), which includes a discussion on the Minoan and Mycenaean civilisations, and the Routledge Handbook of the Peoples and Places of Ancient Western Asia (2009). He has held visiting Fellowships at Princeton, Oxford and Canberra. His career has included appointments as Professor of Classics and Ancient History at the University of New England and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Lincoln University, New Zealand. He was recently awarded a Doctor of Letters Degree at the University of Queensland.
