Biography

Dirk Baltzly is Professor Emeritus in Philosophy at the University of Tasmania. He is internationally recognised for his work in ancient Greek philosophy and particularly on Platonism in late antiquity. Born and educated in the USA, Baltzly worked at King’s College London before coming to Australia in 1994. He is an avid bushwalker and amateur photographer.
