Biography

Gillian Whitlock is a graduate of the University of Queensland (UQ) and Queen’s University and is a professor of English at UQ. She was awarded a Centennial Medal for services to Australian literary studies in 2001, and has published a series of monographs, edited books, and articles on life writing and Australian literature and cultural studies. Her most recent book is Soft Weapons: Autobiography in Transit (Chicago, 2007).
