Biography

Robert White is a Chief Investigator of the Australian Research Council Centre for Excellence for the History of Emotions, and Winthrop Professor at the University of Western Australia (UWA). He graduated from the Universities of Adelaide (BA Hons and MA) and Oxford (D.Phil). He was lecturer in English at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne from 1974-87 before taking up the chair of English at UWA. He is acknowledged as one of the world’s top ranking Shakespeare scholars and critics.
