Biography

Marshall I. Weisler (PhD , University of California at Berkeley) is professor and head of archaeology at the University of Queensland. He has conducted archaeological research throughout the Pacific Islands for 30 years where his special interests are human colonisation strategies and transformations of pristine islands, documenting ancient trade and exchange through the geochemical characterisation of stone tools, and human impacts on marine ecosystems.
