Biography

Roger Scott has taught Ancient History and Classical Studies at the universities of Sydney and Melbourne. His main interests are the Greek and Roman historians and the history and society of the early Byzantine empire. His main research is on Byzantine chronicles.

He is a former Associate Dean of the Arts Faculty at the University of Melbourne, a past president of the Australian Association for Byzantine Studies, and President of the Classical Association of Victoria.
