Biography

Margaret Sankey is the McCaughey Professor and Chair, Department of French Studies, at the University of Sydney. Her teaching and research interests range widely. Currently her research focuses principally on seventeenth-century French literature and cultural history, and on French ideas of Terra Australis and early French exploration of Australia.
