Daniel Nolan

Biography

Daniel Nolan is the McMahon-Hank Professor of Philosophy at the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, USA. After completing his undergraduate work at the University of Queensland, he did his postgraduate work at the Australian National University, receiving a PhD in philosophy in 1998. Since then he has worked at Macquarie University, the University of Queensland, Syracuse University, the University of St Andrews, the University of Nottingham, and the Australian National University. He is the author of two monographs, Topics in the Philosophy of Possible Worlds (2002) and David Lewis (2005), as well as over forty published journal articles and book chapters. He works primarily in metaphysics, though he has broad philosophical interests.
