Biography

Gerhard Leitner has been Professor of English Linguistics at Freie Universität Berlin since 1980. He held a Professorial Fellowship at Monash University in 1995-96, awarded by the Australian Vice Chancellors Committee and was Visiting Professor at University of Malaya, Malaysia in 2008 and 2013.

He has authored 16 books, edited 11 books, and co-authored over 80 journal papers and book chapters. He is also an Assessor for major research institutions, academic journals, and publishers; a consultant for curricular reform and a keynote speaker at major conferences in Australia, Asia and Germany.
