Biography

Professor Frost has taught at La Trobe University since 1970 and is currently Head of the School of History. He was elected Fellow of the Royal Historical Society in 1988. The University of Queensland awarded him a DLitt. in December 1996. He has received both large and small grants from the ARGS and the ARC (1975-78, 1980-84, 1993, 1995-97); and from time to time acted as an assessor for these bodies. In 1988, with Professor J.P. Hardy FAHA, Professor Frost organised the Australian Academy of the Humanities’ 1988 Bicentennial Conference.
