Biography

David Chalmers is a philosopher and cognitive scientist specialising in the areas of philosophy of mind and philosophy of language. He is Distinguished Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Centre for Consciousness at the Australian National University (ANU). He is also Professor of Philosophy and Neural Science and a Director of the Center for Mind, Brain and Consciousness at New York University (NYU). His research interests include: consciousness, artificial intelligence and computation, philosophical issues relating to meaning and possibility, the foundation of cognitive science and physics, epistemology, and philosophy of mind.
