Joan Barclay-Lloyd

Biography

Joan Barclay-Lloyd is an Honorary Research Associate at the Trendall Research Centre for Ancient Mediterranean Studies at La Trobe University. She is the author of ‘African Animals in Renaissance Art and Literature’ (1971), ‘The Medieval Church and Canonry of San Clemente in Rome’ (1989), ‘Our Story So Far €¦ History of St. Mary’s Thornbury’ (1991) and ‘SS Vincenzo e Anastasio at Tre Fontane Near Rome: History and Architecture of a Medieval Cistercian Abbey’ (2006). Although retired since 2006, she continues to conduct research into medieval art and Roman architecture.
