Biography

Doctoral research in subpolar Scandinavia, subsequently focused on New Zealand and the Pacific. Currently directing a major program on Initial Colonisation in the Indo-Pacific Region, with field projects in Philippines and Taiwan, Palau, Fiji, Niue, Tuvalu and Line groups, French Polynesia, Juan Fernandez, Norfolk Island, southern New Zealand and Subantarctic.
