Biography

Justin Clemens FAHA is Associate Professor in the School of Culture and Communication at the University of Melbourne. His research interests include contemporary philosophy, psychoanalysis, and Australian art and poetry. His academic books include Barron Field in New South Wales (Melbourne UP 2023), cowritten with Thomas H. Ford; Lacan Deleuze Badiou (Edinburgh UP 2014), cowritten with A.J. Bartlett and Jon Roffe; Psychoanalysis is an Antiphilosophy (Edinburgh UP 2013); Minimal Domination (Surpllus 2011); Avoiding the Subject (Amsterdam UP 2004), cowritten with Dom Pettman; and The Romanticism of Contemporary Theory (Ashgate 2003). His poetry books include A Foul Wind (Hunter 2022); Limericks, Literary and Philosophical (Surpllus 2019); The Mundiad (Hunter 2013); and Villain (Hunter 2009). He is a Member of the Melbourne School of Continental Philosophy.
