Digital Access to Collections
Dates: 16-17 November, 2017
Location: Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, Hobart
Overview: The focus of these workshops is to provide organisations with access to information, training and support for the digitisation of collections. Over the two days the training will focus on building skills, developing an understanding of digitisation for your organisation, and identifying paths forward to aid in the digitisation and digital access processes.
Presented by GLAM Peak, these workshops aim to support small to medium organisations in starting or developing a digitisation process. GLAM Peak is the peak representative body of galleries, libraries, archives, museums and historical societies in Australia. The delivery of these workshops is Stage 2 of the Digital Access to Collections project. This project aims to provide information, training and structure within which digital access to collections can be increased to the benefit of all Australians.
Funding is available to organisations through grants that can support participation at the workshop and/or assist with digitising collections. More information about the grants can be found on the event website.
