As part of our 50th anniversary celebrations, the Academy is delighted to partner with the University of Queensland’s Centre for Policy Futures to host the Getting Research into Policy and Practice workshop being held 9am-4pm Wednesday 13 November 2019 in Brisbane.

This interactive full-day workshop will bring together Higher Degree Research students and Early Career Researchers from the humanities to develop new skills to help navigate Australia’s policy landscape.

We are now inviting applications to attend this free workshop – places are strictly limited to 50.


To be eligible, you must be a current humanities Higher Degree Research student or have completed your doctorate within the last five years – conferred after 30 April 2014. Independent scholars not currently affiliated with an institution are also welcome to apply.

Successful applicants will be:

  • required to cover all travel and accommodation expenses;
  • offered the discounted student registration rate to attend the
    50th Academy Symposium events during 13-15 November 2019 in Brisbane.
